Implants

Dental Implants are the best option to replace missing, decayed, or broken teeth. With unmatched strength and versatility, they have quickly become the preferred dental procedure for the replacement of teeth to provide full-functionality as strong as your natural teeth. Dental implants can be used to anchor a single tooth, or multiple teeth. They can also be used to provide a more stable foundation for dental bridges and dentures. During your appointment Dr. Panchal will help you understand what to expect from the dental implants process and discuss whether or not it is the right course of action for you.

Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique

The Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique is also known as Pinhole® Gum Rejuvenation. It is a scalpel-free, suture-free, graft-free, minimally invasive procedure for correcting gum recession and saving teeth. Gum recession is serious and most patients don’t know they have it because it happens gradually overtime. Gum recession causes pockets or gaps to form between the teeth and gum line, making it easier for bacteria to build up and cause decay, eventually destroying your teeth. If left untreated it can cause inflammation, tooth loss, and other severe health consequences. Early detection and prevention is important to maintaining your oral and overall health.

Gums can recede for various reasons to include:

  • Periodontal Disease
  • Aggressive brushing
  • Insufficient dental care
  • Hormonal changes
  • Tobacco products
  • Grinding or clenching teeth
  • Excessive frenum attachment

The Pinhole® Surgical Technique can provide long lasting results, quick recovery, prevention of tooth loss, youthful appearance and most importantly a confident smile!

Wisdom Teeth/Extractions

Dr. Panchal may recommend a tooth extraction in certain cases.  Although typically a last resort, tooth extractions may be necessary for a number of reasons. Some examples include:

  • A baby tooth with long or misshapen roots, preventing the adult tooth from erupting
  • A severely decayed tooth that places surrounding teeth at risk of decay
  • Wisdom teeth that cause dental issuesInfected teeth
  • Orthodontic correction for crowding or spacing issues

Extractions can sometimes result in movement or shifting of the surrounding teeth and often times other restorations such as a bridge or dental implants will be needed. A dental restoration procedure can prevent the teeth from shifting, helping to avoid a misaligned bite or future jaw problems from developing. We can also replace the missing tooth with other natural-looking dental procedures to improve both the look and function of your teeth. Dr. Panchal will discuss your options for restoration before your scheduled extraction.
